SAN FRANCISCO -- Ford Motor Co. said Tuesday that U.S. October sales rose 2.6% to 132,483 vehicles from 129,121 in the year ago period. U.S. October sales of the Taurus jumped to 6,076 units from 2,517 a year ago. Sales of the Fusion rose 24.1% to 13,445 vehicles from a year ago, and Escape sales rose 26.1% to 12,471 units. Expedition and Econoline sales saw sharp sales declines, down 21.1% and 32.9%, respectively, from a year ago.
