Argentina's state-run oil and gas company YPF SA (YPFD, YPF.BA) late Friday posted a profit of ARS2.1 billion ($456 million) in the first half of 2012.
The company, which the government took over earlier this year by expropriating a 51% stake from the majority shareholder, Spain's Repsol SA (REPYY, REP.MC), didn't provide comparative data for first-half earnings from 2011.
