Australia Stocks Gain, As Energy, Airlines Rise

Australian stocks moved higher in early Tuesday trading, in line with other Asian bourses, with energy shares broadly higher after an overnight rally in crude. The benchmark S&P/ASX 200 advanced 0.3% to 4,132.40, with Woodside Petroleum Ltd. up 1%, Santos Ltd. rising 0.9%, and Oil Search Ltd. ahead by 0.5%. Benchmark New York crude futures rose 1.8% overnight, but lost ground in early Asia trading after Norway averted an industry lockout.
