Techs Retreat As Microsoft, Intel, H-P Fall

The tech sector kicked off the week in the red, as shares of Microsoft Corp., Intel Corp. and Hewlett-Packard posted declines at the opening bell. Microsoft slid 2%, while Intel lost 1.6% and H-P traded down 1.3%, as the three stocks also joined the worst performers on the Dow Jones Industrial Average . The Dow was down 130 points. The Nasdaq Composite Index gave up 1.3% to 2,854, while the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index was off 1.7%.
